WebIf the fuel pump stays on with key on, then probably the ignition switch is shorted and is feeding the power supply to the fuel pump even the car is off. Put the key in the ignition switch and shake it a bit and see if the fuel pump shuts off. Often if there is an internal short and the fuel pump would constantly prime and won’t shut off.
